TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Heaven on Earth was getting too small for Kerry-Ann Ashley. The busy beauty salon had outgrown its small Central Avenue storefront, and Kerry Ann knew that if she wanted to take her business to the next level, she needed to move into a larger space.
When Kerry Ann opened Heaven on Earth Beauty Salon in Albany in 2004, she had room to maneuver. Now, however, customers were overrunning the waiting area on busy days and sitting in stylists' chairs. Since Kerry Ann has no separate workspace, all the business of the salon was done in the open. She also wanted to be able to hire additional stylists, but didn't have enough room. "The reasons for the expansion [were] so that I could run a business more efficiently and also bring in more people," Kerry Ann says.
Deciding when to take your business to the next level can be a make-or-break decision for many small business owners. And like everything else, timing is critical.
When Kerry Ann Ashley dropped out of school at sixteen, she never dreamed that one day she'd own her own business, and yet here she is the proud owner of Heaven on Earth, a thriving business on Albany's Central Avenue.
Now, after eight years in business, she's making plans to move into a larger salon at a prime location down the street. Kerry Ann was featured in the Times Union "There's room to grow," she says. "Where I am right now, if I grow, we're going to bust," she says, adding that she will hire two new employees, and be able to provide a more relaxed, spa-like experience for her clients. "A larger location will give our customers more in the way of ambiance," she says.

The new Heaven on Earth Beauty Salon will host a grand opening celebration on February 6, at 1 p.m. at their new location at 330 Central Avenue in Albany.

Celebration Time
Heaven On Earth Beauty Salon will be moving to a new location at the end of January 2012. We will still be located on Central Ave. in Albany, NY. The new location will have a much larger waiting area and retail area, individual processing rooms as well as a waxing room, and lots of room to relax and enjoy your service. Parking is available first come first serve, metered parking and back street parking as well. We will introduce some new product within our current lines that we use in the salon. We will be accepting credit cards: visa, master card and discover. Until our grand opening which is scheduled for Monday February 6th at the new location, our current location on 209 Central Ave is still up and running.
